Grand Mesa

Grand Mesa

The Grand Mesa is a large geologic formation in western Colorado.
The largest mesa in the world, it has an area of approximately 50 sq mi/130 sq km
and stretches for approximately 40 miles (64 km) east of Grand Junction between
the Colorado River and the Gunnison River, its tributary to the south.

11200 feet (3000 m) above sea level. For the Ute indians a holy area.
