About Heinz Ulm

I'm a  CCIE-"dinosaurus".
I passed the lab on first attempt in August 1995. Cisco started counting the CCIE numbers beginning with 1024. My CCIE number is 1561. So I was among the first 600 CCIEs worldwide at that time. At the time of my exam passing there were about 80 CCIEs in Europe. Most of the CCIEs were in US because the program started there. Since then I recertified a couple times. My actual recertification is good until June 2009. The current CCIE numbers are in the 25000s .

According to a info from the CCIE Program Manager I am one of only 300 "10-years-CCIE" in the entire world !

Countries I have travelled to (now with many photos)

I have trained people from various companies and organizations, as well as at Cisco Paris, Cisco London and Cisco TAC Brussels (where I have done "new-hire"-, CRIC, CID, and SEDW - System Engineers Design Workshop - classes).

See an (uncomplete)list of IT-staff I have conducted trainings for

Wanna see my CCIE plaque ?

Course comments from students and partners

My bootcamp attendees were coming from these countries.

Since I'm conducting my CCIE Preparation Workshops (now called CCIE Bootcamp) I have trained and prepared  over 600 CCIEs for the exam, coming from many countries and companies , including Cisco.

" My" CCIEs are spread around the world

Hall of fame

"Hi Professor Heinz, Coming to your boot camp was the dawn of CCIE reality and a big wakeup call for me. Prior to my arrival at your boot camp, I actually deluded myself 'in thinking that I was close to being ready for the LAB' I was so wrong, and so far from the truth. With Professor Heinz, I discovered exactly 'how LIMITED I was in terms of knowledge and CCIE readiness' and exactly what the CCIE standard was and how distant from it I was at the time (i.e. in another galaxy). Thanks to Professor Heinz, I was able to make the transformation from mere 'contender status' to 'actual champion' i.e. passing the CCIE Lab. Warning & Advisory Notice, if you are NOT prepared to sacrifice 'your life' to pass the CCIE Lab, then my advice would be to just forget it, cause believe me, it DEFINITELY has the potential to be FATAL !!!!
