Some pictures from the 2 rack rooms with 17 rack cabinets (german location)

There are about 7 kms of copper cable and some 100 meters fiber.

                

You won't hear any noise from where you're configuring. It is very relaxing and supporting your studies.
 
Gear is a mix of 26xxXM, 2811 routers and 24-and 48-port-3550 and 3560-switches.
Each POD has several switches unshared.
Several WLAN routers with 11 - 108 Mb
ip-phones.  PIXes, VPN concentrators, newest ASA gear.
17 rack-cabinets with 21 pods in total.
 
Workgroups can be remotely powered off/on via browser-based powerstrips.
Two real ISDN-PBXs (not an emulator) provide a total of 10 S0-buses.
